Privacy Policy

1. Single purpose of the extension

The extension allows users to select Twitch channels to monitor and automatically open their streams when they go live. It may also close stream tabs that were opened by the extension after those streams go offline. Free access supports one monitored channel and is automatically available on each installation; optional Patreon Premium access unlocks unlimited monitored channels on up to two devices.

2. Information stored locally in the extension

The extension stores the following information in Chrome local extension storage so the features can work between browser sessions:

• the Twitch channel names selected by the user;
• monitoring preferences, display language, notification settings, and opening/closing behavior;
• a randomly generated device identifier used to enforce the Free or Premium device limit;
• a license/authentication token and license status after activation;
• temporary state about streams and tabs opened by the extension.
• limited Twitch tab URL information needed only to detect matching open Twitch tabs and manage tabs opened by the extension.

3. Information sent to the API service

The extension communicates with the service at szotyi.app. To provide its features, it may send:

• the selected Twitch channel names for live-status checks;
• the generated device identifier;
• a Premium license key during activation, and an authentication token during later checks;
• requests needed to check license status and available Free/Premium features.

The API service stores license records, linked device registrations, access status, and timestamps needed to operate licensing and prevent use beyond the plan limits.

The API service may also process the request IP address temporarily for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting. It is not used for advertising or location profiling.

4. Twitch and Patreon

Twitch: The API service sends the user-selected Twitch channel names to the Twitch API only to determine whether those channels are currently live.

Patreon: Premium users may choose to connect through Patreon. The service receives and stores the Patreon account/member identifiers and membership status necessary to confirm Premium entitlement and to disable Premium access if that entitlement ends.

Payments: Premium payments are processed by Patreon. The extension and the API service do not receive or store payment card details.

5. What is not done with information

• No information is sold to third parties.
• No advertising or behavioral tracking is performed by the extension.
• The extension does not collect general browsing history; it handles only limited URL information for Twitch tabs necessary to open selected streams, avoid duplicate tabs, and close tabs opened by the extension when the optional offline-close feature is enabled.
• Information is not used for purposes unrelated to the extension's stream-monitoring and access-management functionality.

6. Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure

The use of information received through the extension and Chrome extension APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide or improve the extension's single purpose and user-facing functionality, or as necessary for security, abuse prevention, and compliance with applicable law.

7. Data retention and deletion requests

Locally stored extension information may be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing its extension storage. Server-side license, device, and Patreon entitlement records are retained while needed to provide access management, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.
